Denis (Denny) Gallagher, Derrenavoggy, Arigna, Roscommon - The death has occurred of Denis (Denny) Gallagher, Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, formerly Derrenavoggy, Arigna, Co. Roscommon. February 12th 2023, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Sligo University Hospital, previously in the wonderful care of the staff of Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Kate, brother Mickey and sister Bridie. Denny will be sadly missed by his nephew Mick, nieces Cathy, Julie, Rosie and Martina, great-grandnephews, great- grandnieces, neighbours and his many good friends. Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7p.m. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. Arigna, arriving 7.30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11.30 a.m. Interment afterwards in Arigna Cemetery.
Lexie Casey, Cregga, Strokestown, Roscommon - Suddenly. Predeceased by his beloved children, son Shane and daughter Frances, and his parents Sonnie and Baby. Lexie will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; wife and best friend Angela, his adored daughter Emma, brothers John, Vincent and Colm, sister Ann, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and many friends. Angela Regan (née Butler), Derrinabruck, Cloontia, Ballymote, Sligo / Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon -February 12th, 2023. (Peacefully) with her family by her side, in the exceptional care of the management and staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Ballyleague. Pre-deceased by her husband Frank, parents Paddy and Molly and her sister Maureen (Carty). Sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Patricia (Ronan), son Paul, brothers Thompson, John and George, sister Patsy (Cox), grandchildren Dylan and Saoirse, son-in-law Tom, Paul's partner, Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. John (Scan) Gilmartin, 4 Drumanfinnila, Ballinaglera, Leitrim - The death has occurred of John (Scan) Gilmartin No. 4 Drumanfinnila, Ballinaglera, Co. Leitrim, formerly Sranagarvanagh, Ballinaglera, on February 11th 2023, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his wife Patricia and Daughter Catherine. Sadly missed by Daughter's Pamela and Angela, Grandchildren, cousins, friends and neighbours. Remains will be reposing in St. Hugh's Church Ballinaglera from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday 15th February. Funeral Mass in St. Hugh’s Church on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Fahy Cemetery.
Eilish (Elizabeth) Rocks (née McPartlin), Beaumont, Dublin / Leitrim - 10th February 2023, in her 96th year, passed away peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff at Elmhurst Nursing Home. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Brendan. Eilish will be sadly missed by her children Fidelma, Joseph, Maureen, Deirdre and Brendan, sons-in-law David and Donald, her grandchildren Ailbhe and Ruarc and his wife Claire, her great-grandchildren Julia and Conal, and all of her extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing at Lanigans Funeral Home, Beaumont Road, on Tuesday afternoon, 14th February, from 3pm to 5pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday morning in The Church of The Holy Child, Whitehall, at 10.30am followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery. John Joe McNiffe, Drumkeel, Killargue, Leitrim - The death has occurred of John Joe McNiffe, Drumkeel, Killargue, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim (ex staff of St Columba's Hospital, Sligo) He passed away peacefully at St Phelim's Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Bernadette, Cherished father of Michael, John, Joseph, Annamarie and Sinead; Adored grandad of Claire and Daniel. Also Molly and Jack and their mother Aisling. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters in law Jacqui and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass at St Bridget's Church at 12 noon on Tuesday 14th of February. Burial afterwards at Killargue New Cemetery. House Private Please. The family have requested mourners strictly observe all Covid regulations and guidelines.
Alan Hamilton, 4 Mill Street, Swanlinbar, Cavan, H14 WP46 - Peacefully, at his residence in the loving care of his wife Claire Ivie and family.
