A meeting is due to be held in Roosky due to anger over delays caused at the bridge

A public meeting will take place in Roosky on Monday night due to concerns over a new traffic system.

The meeting will be held in Roosky Community Centre at 8.30pm and is being organised by Roosky Residents Association.

There is frustration in the village over a new one-way system for drivers on the bridge, to allow for a pedestrian walkway.

Leitrim County Council in partnership with Roscommon County Council are carrying out The Roosky Bridge footpath trial, running from Monday, September 23 to Sunday, October 6, 2024.

The trial involves the installation of a temporary footpath using bollards on the existing bridge and temporary traffic signals to control traffic over the bridge to one way flow.
