In 2020/2021 Covid-19 highlighted the fact that there were a large number of organisations and charities in the wider Leitrim area doing great work and providing important services and supports to people. Unfortunately, many of them don’t have the ability to fundraise for themselves or have a lack of people fundraising on their behalf. As a result of this realisation a group of individuals from the wider Drumshanbo area in Co Leitrim came together and formed RAIS€

RAIS€ was formed with the express intent of providing a platform from which to fundraise for the smaller, less well funded organisations and charities in the wider Leitrim area. It is envisaged that RAIS€ will fundraise on behalf of two /three organisations per year. They hope to organise and run events that will provide entertainment for the local communities while also providing much-needed funds for the charities/ organisations involved.

This year, RAIS€ organised an array of events all of which took place over the October Bank holiday weekend.

Events included a table quiz, a car wash by Drumshanbo Fire Brigade personnel, a 70’s/80’s music night, a raffle for a trailer of turf, a family walk and a GUESS event involving a Mini full of balloons.

The fundraising weekend proved to be very successful and also provided entertainment for the local communities.

As a result of very generous sponsorship and donations to the various events RAIS€ has been able to provide much needed supplementary funding to the following charitable organisations -
