Upgrades approved for SETU Carlow campus to improve the energy efficiency

The higher education energy efficiency and de-carbonisation pathfinder programme has approved two projects for the South East Technological University.
The first project involves a medium retrofit with a high-temperature, air source heat pump to the Burrin building at SETU Carlow. This project will improve the energy efficiency of the building, making it easier to heat, able to retain that heat for longer, all while replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy.
A similar project has been approved for the business school at SETU Waterford.
Deputy Simon Harris said at a recent Dáil exchange with Deputy Marc Ó Cathasaigh TD, 'I am also very eager to make progress' on these two new projects
