A Kilkenny village is set to benefit from improvement works
Proposed enhancements for Goresbridge have been announced
Kilkenny County Council has announced proposed enhancements for Goresbridge as part of the 'Pedestrian Improvements Scheme 2023/2024'.
The local authority have proposed the following measures;
- A new 1.800m raised footpath for safer pedestrian movement
- A pedestrian railing to preserve bridge heritage
- A traffic light controlled shuttle system
- The carriageway reduced to 1 lane (3.250m)
- Modified approaches for traffic calming & improved pedestrian access
Drawings are currently available for public inspection and a information session will be held on Thursday, February 15 from 4pm to 7pm at Ionad Dara, Chapel Street, Goresbridge.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 26.
