Gardaí respond to unexpected incident in Kilkenny
Kilkenny gardaí stated that 'you never know what you'll end up doing when you put on the uniform in the morning'
Gardaí responded to an unexpected incident this morning (Monday) in Kilkenny.
Gardaí posted about the incident, one that involved a pony that had 'got out' from its enclosure, on social media.
"You never know what you'll end up doing when you put on the uniform in the morning," a garda spokesperson said.
"At 7.15am, Garda Annie O'Brien did not expect to be taking a pony for a stroll.
"Apparently it got out and the early crew from Unit D reunited it with greener pastures.
"All is well now but normally 'a little hoarse' means having a croaky throat, not in our job!"
