Important road scheme in Kilkenny is nearing completion

Construction is continuing very well on the N24 Tower Road Scheme at Piltown in South Kilkenny.

Substantial completion has been achieved before Christmas, leaving the project marginally ahead of the programme which allowed them twelve months from January 16, 2023.

There will still be some activity on the site in terms of tidying up, landscaping and demobilising into Quarter One of 2024.

There remains good and positive engagement between the contractors and landowners to date.

An official opening remains to be confirmed but will likely take place in January 2024.

The news was warmly received by the elected members of Piltown Municipal District, who praised the local authority and all the relevant stakeholders involved.
