Gardaí made the arrest while patrolling locals roads on Friday afternoon
A driver has been arrested and a vehicle seized after gardaí pulled over a car on the Waterford Road in Kilkenny on Friday afternoon.
The driver was under the influence of cocaine when intercepted by members of the local Roads Policing Unit.
“Ah the Questions didn't suit you. The immortal words of the late Larry Gogan when someone had fared poorly on the just a minute quiz,” a Facebook post from Kilkenny gardaí read.
“That famous line came to our RPU members earlier when they first asked the driver for their licence, learner unaccompanied. Then went to ask questions of the cars roadworthiness, which were answered by bald tyres.
“A final question "can you please provide an oral fluid test?", answered by a solid line for Cocaine,” the post continued.
“The Road asks many questions of those that use it, be able to answer.”
