Kilkenny name side for Walsh Cup opener with Carlow

New faces get chance to impress
Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng has opted to hand out four debuts in his starting lineup for tomorrow afternoon's Walsh Cup clash with Carlow.
Shane Murphy, Joe Fitzpatrick, Paul Henebery and Kevin Blanchfield will all make their maiden appearance for the senior team in what is an experimental selection overall with only Cian Kenny, Tommy Walsh and Billy Ryan involved from the side that played Limerick in last year's All-Ireland Final.
There's also a welcome recall for Liam Blanchfield who impressed in Bennettsbridge's run to the Kilkenny Senior Championship Semi-Final last term and he's been named at full forward.
As well as the four debutants, there's also a number of new faces on the bench including All-Ireland Under 20 winning captain Padraic Moylan, Paddy Langton, Bill Hughes and Ted Dunne.
The game throws-in from Netwatch Cullen Park at 1.30pm.
