Kilkenny pub 'humbled' as they close their doors for the final time

Tim's Bar called last orders last night (Saturday)
Earlier this week, Tim's Bar in Thomastown confirmed it would close its doors for the final time on Saturday, August 31.
"All of us here want to say a huge 'thank you' to you the punters, that have walked through our door over the last (nearly) seven years and to those we served at the door during Covid," the local pub posted to social media.
The Kilkenny pub and its many customers partied the final night way alongside DJ Pat Treacy into the early hours of the morning with many customers paying glowing tributes in person and online.
"Sad to hear that Tim's is closing John, you and the team helped make many happy memories for people. Best of luck with the next chapter," one person commented, while another said, "we will miss Tim's Bar it was lovely to visit this evening and have our last meal and drinks best of luck for the future John," another customer added.
Following their closure on Saturday night, the pub posted a short but emotional post to social media, "Only one word I can say about the last few days is 'unbelievable', we all here are humbled beyond belief."
