Kilkenny's biggest bachelor? Puddy the cat seeks purr-fect match

Kilkenny SPCA appeals for loving forever home for Puddy, a friendly cat seeking a quiet home and a new owner
Kilkenny SPCA has issued a heartwarming appeal to find a forever home for a portly puss named Puddy.
The generously proportioned feline is on the lookout for a loving new owner, with the animal welfare charity hoping to find him a quiet and comfortable home.
In a social media appeal, Kilkenny SPCA said: “Puddy is looking for a new home. He’s neutered and vaccinated and he’s very well looked after.
“As you see, he’s quite large. Puddy would suit an elderly person living alone. That’s what he’s used to.”
The charity added that Puddy has a “quiet, friendly nature”, making him an ideal companion for someone seeking a little feline company.
Anyone who can offer Puddy a loving forever home is asked to contact Kilkenny SPCA on 056 7771635, quoting reference 269619.
Kilkenny SPCA has been caring for animals for more than 140 years, having been founded in 1882 by the Marchioness of Ormonde to promote the welfare of domestic and wild animals.
The society held its first meeting in Kilkenny Castle that same year and went on to become a registered charity in 1937.
Today, Kilkenny SPCA is one of 17 affiliated member societies of the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA).
