Plans have been lodged by Ulster Bank to carry out external works on a protected structure for the removal of an ATM at High Street in Kilkenny.

Also planned is the removal of the Ulster Bank raised letter shopfront sign, the hanging sign and the removal of Ulster Bank general blue signage.

Ulster Bank’s branch on High Street in Kilkenny closed its doors last Friday for the final time.

The bank's remaining 63 branches and ATM services in the Republic of Ireland are to close permanently as part of its phased withdrawal from the Republic of Ireland.
