A planning application for a thirteen-unit housing development in County Kilkenny has been turned down by Kilkenny County Council.

Byrne & Byrne Construction Ltd were seeking to develop a site at Barrack Street, Castlecomer, County Kilkenny.

Also planned was vehicular access to the site and internal streets, to include alterations to the existing footpath.

Mains water was to be provided by an on-site bored well with provisions for future connection to public mains water supply.

There was one submission recorded in relation to the planning application.

The decision to refuse planning permission was made on February 10, 2023.

The applicant retains the option to file an appeal to An Bord Pleanála, if so desired.
