Shock referendum NO vote indicated in Kilkenny

Counting is underway in the Carlow Kilkenny constituency
A shock NO vote looks set to be on the cards in Kilkenny, according to early tallies from the constituency count centre this morning (Saturday).
Ballot boxes were opened at the Lyrath Conference Centre count at 9am this morning and from early on indications were that the people of the Carlow Kilkenny constituency have voted down both proposed changes to the constitution.
This early tally comes with the traditional 'health warning' as it is not an official result. It is also important to say that the tally is not comprehensive. There is a very small group of people involved in this morning's tally (just three from one party and one from a second) so they are observing 'sample boxes' and not all the boxes from across the constituency.
A total of 194 boxes were opened in Lyrath this morning - 73 from Carlow polling stations and 121 from across Kilkenny.
According to the tally a no vote of 60% to 70% is showing on both ballots. Reports are that in one particular box the no vote was as high at 90%. There is no rural/ urban divide emerging. Again, all this information is unofficial tally figures at this stage.
