St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny is the thirdmost overcrowded hospital in the country today, according to figures from the INMO.
The figures show 45 patients waiting for a bed at the local hospital, despite it being a traditionally quieter time of year.
It represents an increase of 12 from yesterday (Monday), when the total figure was 33.
