The visitors have not tasted defeat in six games.

Mansfield stretched their League One unbeaten run to six games with a dominant 4-1 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Goals from Michael Smith, Rhys Oates and Tyler Roberts saw Nigel Clough’s side cruise to a second win this week, whilst The Tangerines were booed off after a fourth defeat in five matches.

Smith rolled home the first when the hosts failed to deal with Stephen McLaughlin’s cross, before the striker was denied a brace as Bailey Peacock-Farrell produced heroics to tip over the goalscorer’s well-struck penalty on 40 minutes.

Blackpool equalised moments later too, as Dion Charles latched onto Leighton Clarkson’s through ball before coolly slotting past Liam Roberts to level.

Mansfield restored their advantage shortly after the restart though, as Oates fired past Peacock-Farrell into the roof of the net after good work from George Abbott.

And the visitors put the game beyond The Seasiders’ reach on the hour mark when Ilmari Niskanen turned Nathan Moriah-Welsh’s fizzed cross into his own net, before Roberts capped off a miserable afternoon for the hosts on 78 minutes.
