Met Eireann weekend weather as unexpected twist forecast for Ireland

The National Forecaster has updated its weather forecast as far as into next week with some big changes seen
Met Eireann’s updated weather forecast for the weekend and into next week shows an unexpected twist for the country.
While Friday and Saturday will see patches of drizzle, there is no rain at all forecast from Sunday to Tuesday which is uncharacteristic for the time of year.
Friday will be dry across the east with sunny spells taking over but it will be cloudy everywhere else with scattered outbreaks of rain moving across coastal counties including Galway.
Temperatures of 16C will just drop to around 12C overnight with coastal counties still getting majority of the small patches of rain but remaining mostly dry throughout the night.
Here’s Met Eireann’s full weather forecast from Saturday into next week:
Further outlook overview: “A slow-moving area of high pressure, centred to the north of Ireland, will bring a mostly dry, calm and settled spell well into next week. Little change going forward; cool by day and rather cold by night. Dry, outside patchy drizzle across eastern counties. Some mist and fog may linger into the easterly mornings, however.”
Tomorrow: “Scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will linger for a time across Atlantic counties into Saturday but will become patchy in nature with some late sunny spells developing across the northwest. Dry with sunny spells across much of the midlands, south and east. However, damp and misty conditions may develop in the evening hours. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in just light southeast or variable winds.
Sunday: “Patchy drizzle will affect parts of the midlands, south and east early on. Some mist and fog in parts to begin too. However, overall it will be dry with sunny spells. Cool, with afternoon highs of 10 to 13 degrees in a light northerly breeze.
Next week: “Monday & Tuesday will be similar days with sunny spells and just light easterly breezes. The odd spot of drizzle will show up across southern and eastern counties though. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.”
