Public invited to help shape future of transport in North Mayo

Crossmolina consultation was extended until July 28 as Mayo County Council prepares new transport study
Mayo County Council is inviting members of the public to have their say on a new Transport Study for Crossmolina, aimed at improving how people travel in and around the town.
The study will examine the mobility needs of residents, businesses and visitors, with proposals expected to focus on street design, public transport, and safer walking and cycling infrastructure to create a more accessible, vibrant and sustainable town.
The council said public feedback will help shape the future transport plan, with consultation now extended until Tuesday, July 28 at 4.30pm.
Plans are available to view at Crossmolina Library, Ballina Civic Offices, and online through Mayo County Council’s Active Travel webpage.
An in-person public consultation event will also take place at Crossmolina Civic Centre on Tuesday, July 14, from 4pm to 7pm, where residents can view the proposals and discuss them with the project team.
Submissions can be made online through the Mayo County Council consultation portal or in writing to the council’s Active Travel Section.
Further information is available on the Mayo County Council website.
The closing date for submissions is 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 28.
