Junior artists are undertaking intensive drawing

The South Tipperary Art Group (STAG) adult work team are busy at the moment, painting artwork on the life span panels for the Cherry Blossom ASD Unit in St Marys CBS, Irishtown, as well as repainting all the artwork for Halloween at the roundabout at Tesco on the Bypass.

The group has just finished painting the main hoarding at St Anthony’s Unit, off the Glenconnor Road.

Congratulations to Tony and Liuda, whose paintings sold recently. Tony’s painting ‘Deer at Dawn’ sold in the Cahir Arts Exhibition and Liuda’s painting of two geese called “Well, Hello There!” sold from The Showgrounds Shopping Centre.

New artwork is now hanging in the outpatients corridor at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel. Contact the Organiser Maureen Purcell at 086-8096823 for more information.

Junior STAG’s Primary Group (nine years to Sixth Class) have completed their individual mosaics using bottle tops and they are now in Halloween mode, with so many great artworks being completed with scary and weird images.

The seniors have completed their animation which, after hours of editing and uploading of the images by Bobby, will be up and running on screen and will be entered into an animation competition in Dingle shortly.

All seniors are asked to please have proper B Series drawing pencils, from a B right up to B 8/10, as intensive drawing is taking place this Saturday.
