Tipp minor hurlers cap off ‘fantastic’ 2024 campaign with superb medal presentation

The All-Ireland and Munster minor hurling champions attended the Dome on Saturday night in what was a fantastic celebration of their achievements.
“It is just fantastic that all their efforts were duly rewarded,” said manager James Woodlock.
”I especially want to thank the parents of the players as well as their clubs and all the coaches these lads have had because it takes a huge effort over many years to win so tonight is a celebration,” he said.
Tipperary hurler Noel McGrath was the guest of honour and he said to the players to enjoy their achievements and decide what they would like to spend their time on in the future. He told them to stay listening to their coaches at club and school level and to continue to follow their dreams.
Munster Council representative Ger Ryan spoke on the night of the players achievements and of how they had worked to hard and he said he was delighted that they achieved what they did.
The County Board officers were present on the night along with parents, relations and friends of the players and management.
Captain Cathal O’Reilly, Stefan Tobin and Tiarnan Ryan were interviewed on stage by MC Paul Collins and then a band and DJ completed what was a fantastic celebration.
“The manner of the win in Nowlan Park was thrilling,” said manager James Woodlock when reflecting on the season and he spoke of all the games that season.
He pointed out how the character of the group shone through particularily in playing Clare, Galway and then in the All-Ireland minor final at UPMC Nowlan Park where Tipperary, despite finishing the game with 13 players, overcame all obstacles and beat a fancied Kilkenny team in what was described by many as the best game they ever remember.
