Amongst the presentations was a special award to our present club treasurer Nicholas Lonergan

The medal presentation for the 2023 West Junior Hurling Championship winning team and U21B Hurling West Champions took place at the Hideout last Saturday night and on hand to make the presentations was former Tipp hurler and two time All Ireland medal winner Niall O'Meara.

Also amongst the presentations was a special award to our present club treasurer Nicholas Lonergan who in parallel to his life as a referee recently completed fifty years as a club officer having served on numerous committees in addition to holding a variety of positions within the club over the last half century.

A real club stalwart in his own right, Nicholas was also the recipient of the Sean Gael Award in 2018 for his lifelong contribution to GAA.

Junior Hurling training resumed on the astro-turf last Tuesday night and on Wednesday night it was the turn of the U9s. Best of luck to all groups in the year ahead.
