Tipperary Town gears up for Christmas

A walk through Tipperary Town and you will see that the town is starting to look very Christmassy! No stone is being left unturned as the town prepares to welcome in the festive season.

The shop windows are really wonderful and a lot of effort is being put into having them look their very best in the lead up to Christmas.

The town centre needs the support of the community this Christmas and there are loads of price reductions and special offers to be had in many of the shops.

The Christmas lights will be turned on by the “Bansha Lass”, country music star, Louise Morrissey, on Saturday, December 10 at 5pm and Santa Claus will be escorted to the switch-on by the Tipperary Vintage Rally on their Santa Express.

There are many other things happening in the days coming up to Christmas including a Christmas Remembrance Tree at the Market Yard, Tipperary Town Craft Market at the Marian Hall, Carol Service at St Mary’s Church, Christmas Concert at the Tipperary Excel, Ryan School of Music Concert at Ballykisteen, Light up the Plan, Carol singing on the streets, 12 shopping days of Christmas prizes and much, much more.

Free parking in all public car parks and two hours free on street parking during the month of December.
