Ryan O’Meara of Fianna Fáil raised this issue with the Health Minister after receiving concerns from several constituents.
The Cloughjordan TD highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated assessment unit and accessible treatment options beyond the hospital walls for women coping with miscarriage.
Soon, the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit will relocate to a newly prepared space within the hospital serving North Tipperary, offering patients greater privacy and a more nurturing atmosphere.
Deputy O’Meara also shared that further long-term upgrades are on the horizon, with plans to construct a purpose-built Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit tailored to these needs.
