Gardaí made an unusual discovery when they stopped this vehicle.

The van was directed to pull over on the side of the N2 by the Roads Policing Unit in Drogheda.

Gardaí said they observed the driver using their phone while driving.

However, when checked on the Garda's mobility device, it turned out that the vehicles registration plates were fake.

Court proceedings will now follow in coming weeks.
