New Roscrea facility welcomed by North Tipp's Development Company

North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) have been involved in the project since 2019
The long-awaited Roscrea Enterprise and Community Hub (REACH) was officially opened by Minister Dara Calleary last week and the North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) have welcomed the stunning new development in the heart of the heritage town.
With North Tipperary Development Company as Lead Partner, the project received over €2.3 million from the Department of Rural and Community Development through the Departments Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.
The project also received over €800,000 from Tipperary County Council.
Chairperson of North Tipperary Development Company Monica McElvaney said: “NTDC have been involved in the project since 2019, when NTDC submitted the original funding application to the Department.
"It is a great example of agency collaboration and town centre revitalisation as the project is located in the town centre and the previously vacant Tesco building has been re purposed into a vibrant enterprise, educational and community hub”.
NTDC Board Member and Local Councillor Michael Smith outlined “that it’s great to see the project come to fruition and that he had been involved with the project when it was initiated back in 2018. It is also great to see that NTDC took the initiative in applying to the Department for the 75% funding to develop the project.
"As a local Councillor I am delighted that Tipperary County Council came on Board and provided the match funding to allow the project progress. I would also like to thank the Officials within Tipperary County Council for their expertise in helping with the project management”.
