A Laois charity is seeking volunteers to help clean Electric Picnic sleeping bags for the homeless.
Portlaoise Action To Homelessness(PATH) is in the process of collecting discarded and donated sleeping bags from the Electric Picnic.
They are seeking volunteers to wash the bags in order that they can then provide the clean bags to the homeless to use in the coming winter months.
“So it's that time of year again. Electric Picnic is over and a team of committee members and volunteers went out to collect Sleeping bags for our homeless friends. Now we need them washed,” PATH said on their social media page.

“We will be at the Laois Shopping Centre on Thursday 7th of September at 6pm, just outside the Penneys entrance. If you are in a position to be able to wash some Sleeping bags for us, please come along with a black bag to take them away with you. Even if it's just 3 or 4 we will be very grateful,” they said.
PATH is asking those who collect the sleeping bags to return cleaned bags to the shopping centre on Thursday, September 14 for collection.
