Car detected travelling ‘well in excess’ of speed limit along N56
Gardaí clocked the vehicle in Mountcharles, which failed to stop and continued on towards Glenties
A car was detected travelling “well in excess” of the speed limit along the N56.
The incident occurred at around 12:40am, when Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit were conducting a speed check in Mountcharles. The vehicle failed to stop when signalled and travelled at high speed in the direction of Glenties.
“The black VW Passat was detected travelling well in excess of the speed limit,” a Garda spokesperson said. “We appeal to anyone who may have travelled along that route with a dash-cam between 00.30am and 1am that morning to make the footage available to Gardaí.”
