Vote Now: Who Is Leitrim’s Pride of the Parish?

Today, we are officially launching the voting stage of Leitrim’s Pride of the Parish and handing the mic over to you, our readers, to decide who truly embodies the Pride of the Parish.

Over the last number of weeks across the pages of the Leitrim Observer and online at LeitrimLive.ie we have featured nominees from across Leitrim, vying for the title of Pride of the Parish for 2026.

This special award is all about celebrating the unsung heroes of Leitrim’s GAA, Camogie, and LGFA clubs. From the pitch markers and kit washers to the youth coaches, tea-makers, and tireless volunteers, these are the people who give their hearts to our sporting communities without asking for a single word of thanks.

We have received many worthy nominees, but only one exceptional legend will walk away with the ultimate title—and the final verdict is entirely down to your vote!

Voting officially opens today, November 4th, and will run through to November 12th. You can vote below.

We are calling on players, supporters, and families across every parish, town, and village in Leitrim to make your voice heard. Take a look through our shortlist of selfless nominees below, read their stories, and cast your vote to help decide our champion.
