Older people in Carlow can avail of a new smoke alarm in their home with new scheme

You could get your smoke alarm replaced free of charge with Carlow Older Persons Council scheme
Carlow Older Persons Council in partnership with the Carlow Fire Services are proud to announce their free scheme to all of the older people across Carlow County.
House fires are all too common and smoke is a silent killer. A smoke alarm can alert you of any smoke or fires in your home and provide you with precious minutes that are vital for a safe escape.
If you are aged 55 or over, you may be entitled to have your smoke alarm replaced with a new one fitted by the Carlow Fire Service. This is completely free of charge.
If you would like to avail of the scheme or for further information on this please contact Joe Butler of the Carlow Older Peoples Council on 085 859 5549, or email [email protected]
This program is running until the end of November, so you can text or email your name, address and Éircode and mobile number.
